Background

The James Millikin Homestead, located in Decatur, Illinois, is the former residence of James and Anna B. Millikin, founders of the Anna B. Millikin Home, Millikin University, Millikin Bank, and the Millikin Estate Trust. On December 3, 1974, the Millikin Homestead was added to the National Register of Historic places.
